New Adventures are Awaiting

I did a road trip through Spain, France and Portugal with Matty in 2012 and I never wrote about it. Seems a bit of a shame not to have documented our road trip as we were cruising along the rainy plains of Northern Spain, up to the South of France not before tasting the tapas of San Sebastian, then back down, right across to the North-West of Spain, sampling tapas and treats all the way. Then down along the coast of Portugal where the smell of sardines and salted fish trace your every move, bliss!

On a road trip you discover so much more than you would on just a normal holiday. You are left free to discover what you want, no limits, no ties to a single spot… unless the van breaks down, which fortunately didn’t happen the whole time we were there, winner! You can potter around for however long you want, wherever you want.

I’m writing this because the van we did the trip in… this beauty! 

St Tropez. Deux

Our first evening in St Tropez was basically filled with window shopping, ogling at Dolce and Gabbana and drooling past countless patisseries and cafes.

St Tropez- Part 1- Flying Brits

After our two days in Monte Carlo we travelled in style over to St Tropez via helicopter, courtesy of Heli-Air. Is there any other way to travel? Definitely not. I think I need a heli pad in the garden now… in Newquay, but of course!

This was my first time down to the south west coast of France, and what better way to begin the luxurious adventure than with a couple of nights in Monte Carlo; tax evaders haven and favourite hangout of the rich and glamorous.

Sunshine Sunday

I think yesterday really did manage to completely blow away those winter blues. The blast of sunshine coming through the windows on a sunday morning accompanied by a fresh red grapefruit and a fragrant cup of tea surrounded by freshly blossomed daffodils… Bliss.

Santa Teresa, Guanacaste

After a few days in Jaco having spent every morning surfing, and every lunchtime cowering in the shade from the ridiculously strong sun, we decided to move on. We left Jaco with a few good surfs under our belts, some epic sunburn, (even through wearing factor 50 my neck blistered; the sun is far too strong there!) and a taste to discover what else Costa Rica has to offer, and what the real, off the beaten track Costa Rica is really like...

Looking out the window today the weather was completely uninspiring, so... what better way to start the day than an early morning photo shoot on the beach to blow those cobwebs away, have a laugh, mess around, play with a few pooches and try on some amazing hand-made woolly hats and scarfs! Followed by a delicious bowl of hot soup at The Park.
